Dodi Island Restoration & Management Project
A flagship initiative restoring freshwater ecosystems and creating ambient public spaces for eco-tourism.
By GDF Communications

The Dodi Island Restoration & Management Project is one of GDF Africa's flagship initiatives, focused on restoring freshwater ecosystems along the Volta River basin.
A delegation of GDF Africa volunteers, comprising representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), GIZ, and the Volta River Authority, has been working to rehabilitate degraded shorelines, improve water quality, and create ambient public spaces for eco-tourism.
The project demonstrates how community participation, research, and education can combine to deliver lasting environmental and economic benefits for local communities.
