Actions and Collaborations for Sustaining Wetlands in Ghana
Government and civil society partners recognize wetlands as vital habitats for wildlife, flood mitigation, and water table maintenance.

Wetlands play a critical role as habitats for wildlife, in maintaining the water table, and in mitigating flood conditions across Ghana.
Green Diversity Foundation joined partners at a national dialogue on wetland conservation, advocating for stronger protection of these ecosystems and community-led stewardship programmes.
The Foundation's work on freshwater body restoration — including projects along lakes, lagoons, and water channels — aligns directly with national efforts to sustain Ghana's wetland heritage for future generations.
